After Being Acquired By Haier, Hoover Candy Has Launched Connected Home Devices Focusing Primarily On Your Kitchen
At the IFA 2019, Hoover Candy has released a range of smart home devices, with many of them kitchen-related. Hoover Candy was acquired by Haier earlier this year. It has launched connected vacuums, ovens, fridges, and washing machines. The company has laid its strategy well and at the very center of this is its efficient app. The Wizard app alerts you when it is time to descale or clean the filters, thereby helping extend the life of the device.
If you are using the Hoover H-Wash and H-Dry machines, you can use the Direct Voice assistant and verbally request the wash cycle. While the virtual assistant is not as great as Alexa and Google Assistant, it is a good start. The apps are getting Amazon Dash support, so now you can replenish your stock of detergents and so on. Direct Voice will also be soon seen in Hoover AXI HDPN dishwasher where users would be able to use voice commands to loading and starting the cycle.
Coming to the smart ovens, these range from basic to high-end models. The latter allows users to set oven programs after choosing from over 200 recipes.
It’s also refreshing to see this kind of functionality on entry-level devices – although we’d love to see more control added to integrated products, to offer more choice to consumers.
