Ai And Smart Technology The Topic Of Focus For Microsoft’s Annual Developer Conference
Microsoft makes use of its Build developer conference which occurs annually to announce Windows updates and highlight platforms and hardware like Mixed Reality headsets and HoloLens. Microsoft is now focusing on its Azure cloud business and developing its Microsoft 365 service.
Though Microsoft makes hardware like Surface Laptop, Surface Studio, Surface Pro, and Xbox One game consoles, the revenue from these do not make up a lot. Without Windows, mobile, or hardware to stake its future on, Nadella's Microsoft has no choice but to embrace the cloud, AI, and services.
During this year’s conference, the topic will focus on the importance of developing AI while keeping ethics in mind. Microsoft is announcing a five year, $25 million program, AI for Accessibility, which will be using AI to "amplify human capabilities for more than 1 billion people around the world with disabilities."
Microsoft brought back Kinect to life at the Build as "Project Kinect for Azure." This makes use of next-generation depth sensor and aims to improve hand and body tracking. The company recently announced an app, Your Phone, which will allow the users to make use of their PC to see photos, messages, and notifications that appear on their synced devices.
