The company stated that with the latest iOS 14, Apple will start giving suggestions to users for automation settings. There will be multiple integrations included with the update that will help the users improve their smart home automation. HomeKit users can manage all their smart home devices from one single application called Home from their iPhone.
Apple’s sneak peek into the new features includes insights on the Suggested Automations feature that can help the users with possibilities of how well one can use their smart home devices. Apple has also focused on delivering home security cameras.
If you have a HomeKit-compatible video doorbell, with iOS 14 you’ll be able to broadcast that video feed directly to your Apple TV so you can see who’s at your door.
With smart home cameras, they are also going to introduce activity zones which will allow you to customize the most important areas in a camera’s field of view. Additional customizations can be configured by the user based on these zones.
