Brilliant Is Here To Make Smart Home Life Easier
Brilliant revealed their latest smart plug and switch that works with its touchscreen smart home controller at CES 2020 this year. The Brilliant controller has been out for some time now and has received many updates, including integration with Schlage’s Encode Wi-Fi lock.
The promise of the Brilliant Controls is that you will be able to control all supported smart home gadgets from the physical and touchscreen controls — and, of course, it also turns the light switches you replace with it into smart switches.
It comes with a built-in camera that you can use for monitoring your home or room-to-room video chats. Supported devices include Ring alarms, Sonos speakers, Wemo smart plugs, Philips Hue lights, smart lock from Schlage, Yale and August, and more. Support for integration is rising as well, with most major brands being covered. The device also has built-in Alexa support and can work with the Google Assistant as well.
Installation of the Brilliant Controls is a bit tedious, especially if you are not used to physical installations. The company offers video tutorials and a detailed guide to help you out. Once installed, the software gets to work which will take you through a Wi-Fi setup process lasting a few minutes. Once you have set it up, it is extraordinarily easy to use, even for newbies.
