Cortana Takes On A New Role To Help You Manage Your Day Proactively
Microsoft recently announced that Cortana’s consumer-facing features would be removed to facilitate its transition to a personal productivity assistant. Cortana is now here to help you manage your day, schedule, tasks, and more. In the last year, the company had slowly removed Cortana from Skype, Windows 10 Search, and Xbox One.
Our ultimate goal for Cortana is to create an assistant that can help you get back time through your day so you can focus on the things that matter most to you.
Cortana support in older versions of Windows is coming to an end as well with Cortana services in Microsoft Launcher on Android stopping too. The updated Cortana will have a chat-based UI that you can access with a voice command or via your keyboard. It will be integrated into your calendar, allowing you to find people or files, create and send emails, set a timer, and more. A nice touch here includes the fact that the update will bring better security into play. Amazon and Microsoft’s partnership will continue without any change.
