
CVS Health Launches Smart Home System For Seniors
CVS Health, one of the leading healthcare companies, are now one step closer to protecting seniors’ health better. A new medical alert system called Symphony has been introduced to the caregivers which will assist them in keeping an eye on the seniors’ health, even from afar. With the help of wearable devices and a suite of sensors that can monitor for falls, motion, and room temperature while also providing a 24/7 personal emergency response platform for use when needed, the system has been made with utmost care keeping in mind the health of the aged in the community.
The center of the Symphony ecosystem is the voice-activated Smart Hub which enables hands-free calls with caregivers or emergency responders, while also monitoring motion, temperature, and air quality within the home.
There is a free app available for caregivers that provides alerts for falls or other emergencies and assists with facilitating care coordination. The app makes it easier to track all the data that is collected over time. There are currently two Symphony device options available – the Basic Bundle and the Essential Bundle. There is also a monthly service fee required, but there is no long-term lock-in contract needed to activate.
