Does Roomba Finally Have The High-Tech Home Cleaner We’ve Been Waiting For?
When robot cleaners, such as the Roomba, first made an appearance almost a decade back, not many were impressed, and some were even freaked out. But, today, with a decade of experience, the tech has improved, its battery life has become so much better, and it has become a very popular item. It’s user-friendly, cleans excellently, and manual effort is almost non-existent.
Once you set up a recurring cleaning schedule, you don’t have to bother anymore. Roomba can maneuver to almost any place, clean, and get back to its dock without disturbing anyone. The Roomba e5 has five times more suction power than its predecessor models. It also uses soft rubber brushes than the ones with bristles.
Thanks to the filter, almost every bit of allergens, crumbs, dirt, and cat/dog hair are sucked up. The battery life is excellent as well as the Roomba can clean for about 90 minutes on one charge. You don’t have to charge it. If the Roomba feels its battery getting low, it will direct itself to its dock for charging and then continue cleaning. Good news is that it is compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant.
If there’s a nitpick, we do wish the trap were a bit larger; it needs to be emptied often, about twice a week. But if it gets too full, the app sends me a notification. Done.
