Don’t Have A Green Thumb? This Smart Planter Will Help Keep Your Plant Happy And Healthy!
Plants cannot communicate with us verbally. So, they try to communicate with actions, such as sprouting or drooping. Sadly, not everyone can understand this. Vivien Mueller, a Belgian designer, came up with an anthropomorphic vase with sensors that can measure temperature, light exposure, soil moisture and other factors to keep your plants healthy and happy. These sensors can tell you the fifteen emotions your plant is feeling then on a 2.4-inch LCD screen.
If it is hot, you will see the screen show sweat droplets and if it is feeling cold, an icon of clattering teeth appears. When you water it, the default happy face will show up again. The best part here is that if you water too much or if it is not well, it will show it with its tongue out. Out of the 15 emotions, six communicate the health status of the plant while the other 9 make it more fun to interact as it shows the plant in a grumpy or teasing mood.
Lua the smart planter is designed with motion sensors. So, whenever it detects motion, it will follow it with its eyes. This device is connected to an app where the plant owners can add details about the plant they have.
Using the information, Lua, powered by USB, makes the guesswork and automatically calibrates the sensor to your plant’s specific needs.
