Ex-Israeli Military Experts Focus On The Internet Of Things (IoT) To Fight Terrorists And Other Threats To National Security
Toka, a Tel Aviv-based company, said that they will provide spy tools their clients require for every device. It comes with a special focus on all things covered under IoT, such as Nest connected home products, Amazon Echo, connected thermostats, fridges, and alarms. Toka is hoping to take advantage of the IoT market opportunity, even interested in military units and intelligence agencies. In the case of terrorists holding hostages, the SWAT team could hack into the inside connected devices and get audio or visuals of the room instead of going in with guns blazing.
The company doesn’t yet know whether it’ll be specializing in specific devices like Amazon Echo, as it waits on what customers desire. Toka will also be offering “cyber designer services” for a “holistic” approach to digital security.
Toka does not also plan to divulge any vulnerabilities they come across in their hacking to the vendors. The company said that they will take all measures to make sure that their products are not misapplied. Toka will be forming an ethics committee and they do not plan to work with China, Russia, and other enemy countries.
