Existing Smart Home Tech Will Now Make Insurance Cheaper With The Help Of Hero Labs
With most of us staying home because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we all have something or the other in mind regarding interior changes. Hero Labs is a London-based startup that has developed a smart home insurance product called Hiro. The idea behind this is that customers will be given discounts for all smart tech they already have in their house rather than telling them to buy smart devices to lower their premiums. The company released its smart leak detector that uses ultrasonic tech and AI algorithms recently.
If you have smart home tech such as cameras, video doorbells or detect leakers, which help to prevent some of the most common causes of damage to homes and flats, then you will be able to benefit from cheaper insurance premiums, up to 25 per cent in some cases.
If you don’t have any smart home devices, you will be able to purchase new ones on the Hiro app’s marketplace for a cheaper rate. Hiro is scheduled to launch officially sometime later this year. However, the waiting list is open, and you can access it at gethiro.com. Users can also download the Hiro app and understand how much money they could save using smart home devices.
