From Keys To TVs Comcast’s Xfinity Home Keeps Track Of Your Most Important Items
Comcast has integrated its Xfinity Home with Tile’s connected devices. These connected devices can track a person’s wallet, keys, and other similar items. The Bluetooth enabled trackers are called Tiles and come in many forms, such as the ones which can be attached to backpacks and keys or the slim ones which slide into wallets and passports.
With the latest integration, users can add Tiles to their Xfinity Home dashboard of connected smart products and locate misplaced Tile-connected items by saying a voice command into the X1 voice remote, such as “Xfinity Home, where are my keys?” or “Xfinity Home find my purse.” The last known location and address of the missing Tile will appear on X1 customers TVs.
A parent can use this technology to find a child’s school bag and know if it was left at school. Their recent announcement tells us that the company is now planning to integrate the smart home capabilities across the complete list Xfinity services products. Though the Tile integration is currently available only to Xfinity Home customers having X1 voice remote, the company is looking to provide it to everyone by end of the year.
