Google Assistant’s New Assignable Reminders Lets The Whole Family Know What’s On Their To-Do-List
Google Assistant can be set to offer reminders for each member of the family. You can talk to any Assistant-based device and ask Google to remind you to perform certain chores or activities.
The reminder system also takes the recipient’s location into account, so you can ask the Assistant to remind your partner to pick up something when they leave work, or when they arrive at the grocery store.
You can also set time-based reminders. The Assistant can now remind you automatically where exactly you parked your car. This feature will first be released for devices in the UK, the US, and Australia. Assistant-powered devices include smart speakers like Google Home and Home Mini, smartphones like Pixel, and smart displays like the Google Nest Hub.
Before setting a reminder, make sure the individual is part of the Google family group. A maximum of 8 people can be in this group. When all the members are connected to the same device, it works smoothly. Just as you can set time-based reminders, you can also set location-specific reminders which work based on the GPS location of their phone.
