Google Continues Its Nest Rebranding With Nest WiFi. Providing Better Network Coverage Throughout Your Smart Home.
News is going around that Google is working on releasing a revamped Google Wifi router next month in its annual Made by Google hardware showcase. The Nest Wifi will have Eero-esque beacons that also work as Assistant speakers. In addition to the Assistant speaker capabilities and the associated hardware, there are not a lot of changes. It will be available in three colors and look stylish in the house.
The multi-pack of the first Google Wifi included multiple full-fledged routers that connected to one another wirelessly, while the second-gen Nest Wifi will instead offer one primary router alongside other, smaller beacons.
The Nest Wifi beacons are similar to the working of first- and second-generation Google Home Mini/Nest Mini. You can control it via voice as well. While the basic mesh router functionality will be the same, you will be able to use it much better. It would be able to offer smart network control, family control, and automatically update itself. Another great thing is that the old Google Wifi hardware would be able to comfortably work with the new one.
