Google Home’s ‘Continued Conversations’ Makes For A Better Smart Voice Assistant
Google’s latest feature is the one called Continued Conversations. When it is enabled, you can extra requests without needing to say the trigger phrase. Before this, when you ask Google Assistant a question, you had to mention the trigger every time. This feature was introduced for Google Home devices, such as Google Home, Google Mini, and Google Home Max.
After switching it on, ask Google Assistant a question or say a command as usual. The indicator lights on your Google Home device will continue shining for about eight seconds after to allow for additional requests.
Google Assistant will not require you to say “OK Google” every time. The continued conversation feature lets one ask for a question and wait for a few seconds and give another command without mentioning the trigger words.
Alexa also has a similar feature called the “Follow-up Mode”. It was released in March.
