Here’s How To Stop Amazon From Listening In On Your Alexa Conversations
Alexa is fast becoming an integral part of our lives. Till date, as many as 100 million Alexa-powered devices have been sold. Alexa is part of almost every device, from thermostats and smart speakers to headphone and other entertainment devices. While Amazon’s Alexa is a great invention, it does have issues with privacy. Amazon records everything that you say via Alexa and you can check it out on the recording log.
However, there is a way to stop Amazon from recording your messages. Open settings on the Alexa App and select Alexa Account. Go to ‘Alexa Privacy’ and disable the setting by tapping on ‘Manage How Your Data Improves Alexa’ and then toggle the switch to turn off the setting in ‘Help Develop New Features’.
Under Manage Skills Permissions, you can find out which skills have requested permission to access data like your address, name, Amazon pay, phone number, and email.
You can also see your past interactions and delete it and control your skills permission. By reviewing settings periodically, you can decrease the chances of facing privacy issues.
