How To Use Google Assistant To Execute Several Smart Home Actions With A Simple Voice Command
Routines by Google lets you perform many actions at once, with just one command. “Good Morning” can let you turn on lights, the heat, get you updated on weather and traffic along with letting you know your appointments.
Good Morning, Bedtime, I'm Leaving, I'm Home, Let's Go to Work and Let's Go Home are the six commands currently available. When you are setting up the system, you can choose your trigger phrase, such as "Good morning," "I'm up," “Tell me about my day," or choose your own. You can then choose the actions that should be performed by Assistant.
If you are an Android user, you can ask Assistant to switch off the silent mode on your phone. You can turn your smart devices on or off. If you have these smart devices, such as plugs or lights, connected to Google Home, you can set the routine to activate them. You can select from other options, such as commute time, weather, adjusting media volume, setting up music or audios etc.
Adjust the thermostat. If you have a Nest, Ecobee or other Google Home-compatible thermostat, you can link it here and have the routine automatically adjust the temperature when you wake up.
