Major Trend Driving The IoT Market Is How We Engage And Interact With Our Smart Home Gadgets
Viomi Technology, a Chinese smart home company, and IDC, International Data Corporation, published a report which mentions the six trends that are likely to drive the IoT sector in the coming six years. This includes the way we look, talk, and interact with our smart devices.
The report talks about how smart devices will change and how we will use them. Interaction with these smart devices is going to be more user-friendly, with options ranging from touch to facial recognition and voice. Smart devices will be able to connect via voice platforms like Alexa and Siri, and only through smartphone apps.
Tech companies are expected to open up their systems and platforms, allowing more gadgets to integrate and work with each other.
More data will be stored on consumer IoT devices. Viomi and the International Data Corporation trust that this step will increase computing efficiency and improve privacy since data transfer via the internet is a common way of exposing data. It is also hoped that mesh networks and 5G connectivity will increase adoption.
