Partnership Between Amazon And Lennar Homes Makes For A Smarter Home
Lennar Homes is integrating Amazon’s Alexa into their new line of homes in Aurora, Colorado.
The homes all come with Wi-Fi, smart thermometers, lighting, doorbells and locks pre-installed, and Amazon’s voice-activated Alexa personal assistant devices.
Lennar Corp. had earlier also worked with Apple’s Siri on a smart home tech venture. Currently, however, Lennar is working with Amazon to offer a range of home automation products across the country. Purchasing each smart device separately would be expensive. Since Lennar buys in bulk, it helps the customers save money as well. Amazon helps the homeowners with training on how to operate and handle each feature of the house.
Wi-Fi signal boosters reduce dead spots within the house. This signal connects to many smart products, such as Lutron lights, Honeywell smart thermostats, a Ring video doorbell, a Baldwin lock system, and home entertainment systems controllers. Users can control these systems via voice commands using Echo Show by Amazon.
Lennar uses a different business model where it provides as the standard features what others chose to provide as optional. Home automation has been declared as the standard feature in this range of Lennar homes.
