Samsung And Microsoft Take Their Smart Home Partnership One Step Further
Microsoft and Samsung took their partnership one step ahead to bring better productivity across their applications, devices, and services.
Now, the two companies announced a global collaboration focused on digitally transforming the real estate development and property management industries.
Microsoft has invested heavily in Azure Digital Twins technology and IoT space. The Azure Digital Twins technology can create digital scaled models of a building’s interior and surroundings in a very detailed manner. This comprehensive digital model would allow the developers to see a living-world model of places, business processes, people, and allow them to gain better insights to offer an amazing experience to the consumers.
Microsoft’s Azure and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service will analyze and store IoT data from smart sensors located within the building and from Samsung’s smart home devices. This includes the likes of Samsung mobile phones, smart TVs, HVAC systems, and more. While neither organization has mentioned a timeline of when we can expect these solutions in the market, they did mention that the testing would be done at the National University of Singapore (NUS). NUS is quite happy with this and plans to create a smart campus ecosystem, potentially scaling up at the national level.
