Smart Car Or Smart Device For The Connected Life? Byton’s K-Byte Cars Will Transform How We Live.
Byton, the Chinese-based startup, impressed the public at the CES with its debut, announcing its electric SUV concept. The company has now come up with a sedan and is just as great. The SUV has been named M-Byte with the other car being named K-Byte. These two automobiles will be part of a three-car lineup, all sporting the “Byte” names. These will all be built on the same platform to keep the costs less.
Since it is just a concept so far, the actual specs are not available, though the K-Byte’s aesthetics look fantastic. It has a similar front like the Faraday Future FF 91 and the Lucid Air.
If you're wondering what all those weird attachments are, it's part of the car's autonomous driving system. Byton announced that it's partnering with Aurora, a startup dedicated to creating a SAE Level 4 self-driving platform.
When the automobile is not working autonomously, a few parts, such as the cameras present under the side mirrors retract into the body. The company calls these cars as smart devices rather than cars. They have a vision of creating a whole ecosystem around the car. The car will be developed in China and it is expected to release in 2021.
