The Heart Of The Home Just Got Smarter With Samsung’s Connected Kitchen Devices
Samsung’s connected home devices have grown five times when compared to others in the market, particularly in Europe. In EuroCucina 2018 exhibition held in Milan, Italy, the company showcased the appliances offering IoT connectivity and which work with other connected devices. Samsung showcased a wide variety of IoT-connected products, mainly in the kitchen, such as a stove with a virtual flame, a multi-storeyed oven, a smart refrigerator, and a dishwasher.
Samsung’s Twin Cooling Plus technology lets the users control the upper and the lower compartments of the refrigerator separately. It comes with a screen from where the user can control the other devices by Samsung within the house. It contains features such as Bixby, support for recipes, meal planner, and shopping list.
The virtual flame cooktop is basically an induction stove that fakes the effect of flames, making it easier for the users to recognize and control the heat of the stove. The WaterFall dishwasher uses the effect of falling water to clean utensils more efficiently.
The Dual Cook Flex oven was built keeping in mind the Europeans’ cooking habits. It comes with 2 compartments, each of which can be used at different temperatures. Samsung’s acquisition of Dacor has helped in creating built-in fittings for smart kitchens.
