Amazon Is Enhancing The Alexa Experience On Your Echo Devices With 31 New Features
Amazon held its Alexa Live 2020 event last month, where it announced the latest Amazon Echo and Alexa updates. The company is working on 31 new developer features designed to give the users a more natural experience when interacting with Alexa. One of them is Alexa Conversations where the developers are trying to make chats with Alexa more conversational and less bot-like. Alexa for Apps is another great feature which will allow users to search inside an app using Alexa.
For example, you can say, “Alexa, ask Twitter to search for #StimulusChecks.” The voice assistant will then open the Twitter app on your phone with a list of results you can browse through.
This feature is added to all popular apps like Zynga, TikTok, Sonic, and Yellow Pages.
Alexa’s multimodal function is another nice feature where you will see an improvement when you interact with the voice assistant via Echo Show or Fire TV displays. The gestures have received a lot of attention and now you can use single-finger drag, swipe to delete, and long-press gestures among others. Other new features for Alexa and Echo devices have also been released recently. Thanks to this, users can now use Alexa hands-free via the Alexa app.
