They also offer us the convenience of managing day to day activities and the ability to share and sync all the family members’ schedules. A recent research wonders if the smart tech may be forgetting an important female component.
Is smart home technology forgetting women?
Since it is primarily men who are currently designing, manufacturing and installing smart home tech in homes, these devices could end up not representing women enough. Monash University’s Associate Professor Yolande Strengers from the Faculty of Information Technology worked on the research and believes that smart home tech is often designed to and helps men avoid chores around the house.
