Control Your Smart Home With Your Mac Using MacOS Mojave
Apple announcement about the MacOS Mojave at the WWDS 2018 on Monday.
That plus the Siri functionality means you can view, manage and control your smart home straight from your Mac.
Before this, this functionality was available only in the iOS devices, such as the iPad, the iPhone, and the iPod Touch. With Mojave, the HomeKit users will be able to enlist Mac as an option of handling their smart home devices.
HomeKit is Apple’s smart home platform powered by Siri. The software lets the third-party devices be managed with Siri commands. As of now, integration consists of commands like “Siri, lock my front door.” or “Siri, set my thermostat to 68 degrees”.
