Google Assistant Gets More Visual For Smartphone Control With Their Latest Updates
Google Assistant has undergone a transformation and you will see many forms of communication via touch, visuals, and voice. It will respond to voice commands as usual. However, it will also accompany its response with a visual.
You’ll see pics of local restaurants when you search for a place to eat. Ask it to turn on your Google Assistant-compatible smart home bulbs, and you’ll see buttons and sliders to fine-tune the brightness or color settings.
These changes will be applicable to all Google Assistant Android devices. In iOS devices, it can be seen on the Google Assistant app. The company is also coming up with a set of developer tools. Fitstar will offer GIFs of exercises to help you while Starbucks will provide thumbnails of popular items on the menu. Thanks to this, the third-party developers will now be able to market their products via voice.
The developer tools will let companies offer you services like subscriptions, upgrades, and expansions via Google Assistant. It uses voice recognition to authorize the purchase. The users need to be careful since it is not fool-proof. Both of Google’s smart displays have the same system of using touch and visuals in accordance to voice.
