Google Assistant Lets You Schedule Smart Home Actions Several Days Ahead
Smart home speakers are one of the most useful things across the entire range of smart home products. The Google Assistant has come up with a handy feature that will help the users in scheduling commands. This means that you will be able to ask your assistant to turn on or off the smart lights at specific times. In addition to this, users will also be able to ask Google Home to perform an action for a certain length of time. For example, “Hey Google, turn on the lights for 10 minutes” would immediately turn on the lights, but shut them off a few minutes later and this eliminates the need for another command.
This may seem like a basic feature, but it’s one Assistant has lacked for a long time. It’s also something Amazon Alexa technically lacks, though a similar function has worked with the company’s routines.
It has also been noted that users are allowed to schedule actions with smart home products days in advance. It is also important to note that not all smart home devices are supported at the moment.
