Google Home, Amazon Echo, Or Apple’s HomePod. Which Is Your Best Bet For A Smart Voice Assistant?
Smart speakers having built-in voice assistants, such as Google Home, Amazon Echo, and Apple HomePod are highly useful. Let’s take a look at some of the popular devices. Amazon Echo products offer the best range of functionalities and act as the hub for your smart home. Unfortunately, Echo does not seem to have a good hearing which means that one has to repeat the commands multiple times.
There are not many options available with Google Home as with Echo. Google Home Mini, the Google Home, and Google Home Max are the options. They are affordable and Google is able to recognize the different voice and customize its service, and it has good hearing. A drawback is that the device cannot automatically detect gadgets in your home.
Siri only lets you play Apple Music by voice. To play other services, such as Spotify, you have to stream it from your smartphone to the HomePod using AirPlay.
Though the Apple HomePod has excellent sound systems, it is not as intelligent as Echo or Google Home. It is highly tied up within the Apple’s ecosystem and lacks a lot of features that Echo and Google Home offer. Unfortunately, it charges a lot for what little it offers.
