Google’s Newest Smart Home Devices Will Be Launched This Month
Google, the smart home tech giant, recently announced in its blog that they will be launching new devices soon. The Google I/O event that happens every year is scheduled for May 18-20. There are speculations that Google Assistant will get its much-needed AI boost. The three-day event in May is targeted towards developers, those people who craft and create the experiences and apps that use Google and Google Assistant with consumer facing tools and devices. There is also going to be a session that will help developers use Android Shortcuts with Google Assistant. There is also a session specifically focused on how to use more voice abilities in their Android apps as well. There are plenty of other opportunities for developers across the globe.
Traditionally, Google usually releases new products as part of that year’s event. In addition to new smart home products and new Google Assistant features planned for May, the event is aimed at assisting developers getting onboarded to sort out issues with their own smart home products.
This year developers will have a code lab, a space where they can work on their products in terms of how well they integrate with the Google smart home.
There will also be a Meet with Google smart home engineers on how developers can create and even fix some of their own integrations with Google Home.
