Hard To Ignore The Excess Of IoT Devices Released To The World At CES 2019, Including A Smart Plank Of Wood.
At the CES 2019, there are a lot of new devices to see. IoT has become the focus lately and most of our day-to-day devices have turned smarter by getting connecting to the internet.
Mui Smart Display was one of the most popular devices at the event. It looks like a wooden plank when not active. It has an LED touch screen that shows the status of all the other smart devices in your house.
Whirlpool has come up with the Whirlpool Connected Hub Wall Oven that has a 27 inches transparent LCD screen. This means that while you can check how far your cooking is done while glancing at the recipe at the same time. The device is still in the making and not yet set for release.
Within its Aicon concept autonomous car, Audi promised at the event a ‘mobile amusement park’ for passengers. Audi said its new technology – developed through a spin-out called Holoride – adapts virtual content to the actual movement of the vehicle in real-time.
The car will let the passengers play video games, watch movies, and use virtual reality glasses to watch content. Aicon, Audi’s flagship autonomous car, does not need any human to control the vehicle. Indeed, there are no pedals or steering wheels. With so many IoT devices coming up, security and privacy questions have been going around as well. Laws will have to be created to keep the citizens safe.
