Increasing Popularity Of Smart Speakers Creates Demand For Voice-Driven Smart Devices
The smart home device market is made up of digital media adapters, lighting, smart speakers, thermostats and other connected gadgets globally. It is predicted to grow by 26.8% this year.
Meanwhile, Adobe Advertising Cloud partnered with TuneIn, a global streaming audio service, to expand the ways advertisers can reach target audiences across a range of devices. Adobe said in a press release that its service can target digital audio ads on smart speakers across hundreds of TuneIn’s owned-and-operated stations.
With the increasing popularity of the smart speakers and the video entertainment products, the companies are working harder to come up with ways to offer the users better tech experience and increase the voice-driven marketing opportunities. Just last week, many companies like Marriott and HBO has integrated with Amazon’s Alexa.
Marketers will have to decide which platform they want to partner with. This is a very important decision as it can affect them in many ways. Alexa is currently the market leader though the entry of Google and Chinese firms have tried to dislodge its hold on the market. RichRelevance says that Google Assistant inched ahead of Alexa in voice shopping while Apple is still struggling with its high priced HomePod and Siri’s not-so-great performance.
