It’s Estimated That Eighty Percent Of IoT Devices Have Security Flaws. This Cybersecurity Startup Wants To Change That.
The possibility that all the connected appliances, like smart light bulbs, refrigerators, security cameras, and thermostats can be hacked into has begun a new field within the cybersecurity industry! Dojo Labs was started by Yossi Atias in order to fight against the increasing hacking of the IoT devices.
Dojo Pebble is a gadget that you can place near your Wi-Fi router which will keep an eye on your network’s security status. It lights up in green if your network is great, turns to orange if there is any issue with the malware, and red in case of human intervention. It uses crowd-sourced data from cloud and machine learning to detect and stop hackers. There is a free app which let the users scan their networks for any vulnerability.
The company talked about its latest product – the Dojo Intelligent IoT Vulnerability Scanner for Communication Service Providers (CSP).
The name is a mouthful but it’s a simple and useful concept that moves the Dojo’s monitoring and fixing functionality from a separate device like the Pebble or a mobile app to your Internet service provider.
Dojo’s CSP product can be added to existing routers as well as built into new ones. It is also open to third-party integrations.
