KB Home Wants To Make Your Home Smarter And Healthier With Smart “Wellness” Software Integration
KB Home said that they will start offering the customers technology to make their house smarter. They will sell Darwin as an add-on, starting from California and eventually moving across the country. Darwin by Delos is a technology they have named “wellness real estate.”
KB and Delos have announced their partnership after many others, such as Simonds and Darwin. KB build over 11,000 homes in the country and they plan to integrate this technology into all their new establishments. Darwin uses software and hardware to control water filtration, air quality, and circadian lighting.
Key in your sleep schedule via the app and Darwin will adjust the house’s lighting to sync with the sun’s rhythm.
Meanwhile, sensors measure allergens and other harmful substances in the air and kick filtration systems into overdrive if levels become too high.
Delos plans for the future include integration with bathroom scales, kitchen appliances, and other wearables. The pricing differs based on various factors. Customizations can be done as well.
