Live In A Van Down By The River In Style With Mercedes Futuristic Smart Camper
Mercedes-Benz will bring some of the latest trends in automotive technology over to the camper van side, highlighting fuel cell power and connected convenience in a trio of concept camper vans.
Mercedes mentioned that they are working on Concept Sprinter F-Cell. It will give the vehicle 198 hp along with 258 lb-ft of near-silent motor output. It offers the potential for easier filling and longer ranges when compared to completely electric vehicles. Cleaner and quieter driving will assist in keeping a better natural environment in and around the campground. The Sprinter F-Cell’s fuel cell also provides electricity, if needed.
Mercedes-Benz Advanced Control module is something Mercedes is experimenting with for achieving connected control like a smart home. With this, the driver cab and the living cabin will fall under a single streamlines component. The user can use the touchscreen or an app to control the features.
The users will be able to adjust the refrigerator’s temperature, the cabin temperature, control the sound system and the lighting, and extend or retract the powered awning. Concept Marco Polo centralizes main camper van features so that features like a pop-up roof, air suspension leveling, and folding rear bench bed can be done with just one command. It works via voice commands as well.
