Locate Your Pets, And Other Important Things, With The SmartThings Tracker
Samsung’s SmartThings Tracker uses the LTE-M network to locate wandering pets, let family members know where you are, or even find your car keys. You can also configure the Tracker as a proximity sensor to the universe of SmartThings home automation devices.
If the Tracker is within a cellular network’s range, the user will be able to follow the location on their SmartThings App, which is available for both Android and iOS devices. The power button on the Tracker can send pre-defined alerts. Sending an SOS signal is also possible. Since the location signals and alerts are limited to the users with pre-defined access on the app, not everyone will have access to information on your family’s whereabouts.
The SmartThings Tracker is dust and water resistant. It has the capability to last for a week on one charge. The product also uses geo-fencing, which at times work as a proximity sensor as well. By making use of the coverage of nationwide carrier networks in combination with the SmartThings ecosystem, people can track their loved ones at all times for their peace of mind.
