RoomMe Is Making The Smart Home Even More Personalized By Using Sensors To Automatically Adjust Your Home To Your Liking
With RoomMe, you can now create personalized home automation profiles for every member living in your home. When you walk into a room, the RoomMe will adjust the thermostat, lights, television etc. to suit the person’s preferences. RoomMe sensors are designed to look like a smoke detector and it is not very hard to install. It can be handled via the RoomMe app. One can sync the sensors to be controlled via the smartphone.
Since sensors connect via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) instead of Wi-Fi, all automation tasks are completed locally through your smartphone to prevent any data sharing online.
Once the initial network is established, you will need to pair your smart home devices to the RoomMe network, which is again a simple procedure. Once this is done, you can now add the users. Up to 16 individuals may be added. Do note that each one would require their own smartphone, which indicates that young children may not be able to have a personalized profile. Each user can be defined as a standard or a master user. While each of them can have all the automation features, the master user will have the first priority when in a room with a standard user. The product is expected to start shipping from March.
