It lets them shop online and remind them of their medicines. With phones and simple devices, or mHealth as they are being called, community health workers can get in touch with medical practitioners, which would not have been possible a few years back.
Phones and mobile apps let the community workers record the health of the patients which are accessed by the doctors who could take immediate steps if needed, based on the condition and the reports uploaded. Newer technologies like wearable and implantable devices are making it possible for transmitting real-time data.
“As the volume of data that patients produce increases, technology will also be needed to analyze that data and determine the appropriate response.”
This is where machine learning comes in. With health monitoring devices being developed in better options, such as smart jewelry, it is also working to remove the stigma attached from using such devices. Feedback from the study shows that being able to do simple things like switch off the lights themselves is working to encourage the people and offers them freedom.
