This Rachio Smart Sprinkler Controller comes as a beautiful white rectangular box measuring 9.25” (L) by 1.625” (W) by 5.625” (H), and measures 1.2 pounds. In the box, you have the controller itself, a power supply unit with 6-feet cord, mounting hardware, a quick start guide.
This device, designed to be your smart watering assistant, takes out the hassles and worries out of watering your lawn. You can add and monitor up to eight watering zones. It has intelligent wire terminals that can detect active zones and give you notice if your irrigation system has any problems. It features rain and soil wired and wireless Normally Closed (NC) sensors and wired flow sensors. It is also compatible with indexing valves and master valves, and pump relays.
Installing the unit is easy – remove your old controller (if you have one) and replace with this Rachio Smart Controller. There is an optional outdoor enclosure unit to protect the module from adverse weather effects or tampering. You can connect the plumbing and electrical cables yourself, without any professional help. The unit can operate in a temperature range of -4°F to 140°F.
The unit requires the Rachio app for function and control. You can download the app from the Apple Store or Play Store. It requires Wi-Fi to function and supports 2.4 GHz and dual-band networks but does not support the 5.0 GHz network. It is powered by a 120V AC / 60Hz power adapter and outputs 24V AC.
