The Sonos One Speaker has a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port for connecting the device directly to your router in the event of your Wi-Fi connection being unstable. For wireless streaming, it connects by Bluetooth (not Wi-Fi) to your home network with any broadcast-capable, 802.11b/g, 2.4 GHz protocol router. The Sonos One runs on auto-switching 100-240 V, 50-60 Hz AC universal power source.

Features of the Sonos One Smart Speaker
Voice Control
Sonos One comes with Amazon Alexa’s built into it. With voice control, you can check what’s on the news, get traffic and weather information, ask and get questions answered, set alarms for various purposes, control other smart home devices and many more. You can also play music from Pandora, SiriusXM, TuneIn, Spotify, iHeartRadio, and Amazon Music.
App Control
As with most smart devices, you set up and control the Sonos One smart speaker using the Sonos App. You can download the app for your smartphone and computer device. You will need the app to set up the speaker. Once set up, you can control the device from your smartphone or computer.
You need a Sonos account to set up the device. If you do not have an account, you can create one during the setup process. The app allows you to discover and play music from internet radio, browse, search, and play music from other internet sources. You can add music and voice services, create playlists, and assign Sonos speakers in your home into groups and play music across the groups.
Stereo Sound
When paired with another Sonos One unit in the same room (and not other Sonos speakers), the two speakers deliver stereo and detailed sound in that room. You can also use a pair of speakers as rear home cinema surrounds with Beam, Playbase, or Playbar.
Button Control and Indicators
In addition to voice control, you can control Sonos One using the control buttons situated at the top of the device, i.e., the play/pause and volume up and down buttons. Also located at the top of the unit is the status light and microphone indicator. The former indicates the various statuses of the device using a varying combination of colors and flash modes.
The microphone indicator enables you to talk to the device using your voice. Tapping the indicator toggles the microphone between on and off. When off, pressing and holding down the indicator enables you to talk to Alexa momentarily and, when released, to turn the voice control off. The Join Button at the end of the device connects the unit to your Wi-Fi during setup.
Versatile Integration
Sonos One Smart Speaker also works with Apple AirPlay 2 on Apple devices for iOS 11.4 and higher.
