So, What’s The Decision? Who Won The Smart Home Battle Between The Amazon Echo Dot And Google Home Mini?

In our opinion the real winner would be you by picking up either the Amazon Echo Dot or Google Home Mini. Yeah we know that sounds ridiculous, and a bit “salesy”. And you’re right 🙂 But the truth is they are both great products that are a cost-effective way to start building a smarter home. Even if you only plan to add a few smart home features such as a smart thermostat or smart cameras it is well worth it. These smart devices can be controlled with your voice or through apps on your smartphone for both the Dot and Mini.

The choice is really up to you of what direction you want to go. The capabilities of both the Google Assistant on the Mini and Amazon’s Alexa on the Echo Dot will continue to grow. The majority of smart home brands will work for both virtual assistants. So you don’t have to stress too much about what smart products to choose because in all likely hood they’ll have no issues with either product.

The only devices that may have issues are the ones in direct competition such Amazon’s Ring and Google’s Nest. Also, the Echo Dot and Google Home Mini are both extremely cheap considering all they can do. So maybe if you’re still on the fence about them you should pick up both and test them to see which works better on the smart devices of your liking.
