Sometimes Making Things Smarter Can Be Simple! VacPac Pro Fridge Keeps Your Food Fresh Longer With Sharp’s Built-In Vacuum Sealer.
The Sharp VacPac Pro is a four-door refrigerator with a vacuum sealer built into the top-left door. It was on display at this week’s IFA trade show. You slide the edge of a bag in the slot on the door and press start to vacuum seal.
This model by Sharp was announced at the show on Thursday. As of now, it is available only in Europe. Vacuum sealing helps in keeping the food fresher for more time. It is more efficient than storing it in a container, or a foil/plastic wrap. This is because the seal limits the exposure to air that helps in keeping it from spoiling.
In order to use the VacPac Pro, you will need to place the food in a special plastic bag, designed specifically for vacuum sealing. Once done, slip the edge into the slot provided on the door of the refrigerator. Press Start and the machine will suck out the air and seal the bag.
