Zoom Is Making Its Way To Amazon, Google, And Facebook Smart Display Devices
The pandemic has clearly turned into an advantage for video calling apps such as Zoom. With it being on high demand across the globe, they are investing all their money into new technologies. They have announced that Zoom will now be available on multiple smart home platforms, including Facebook Portal, Amazon Echo Show, and Google Nest Hub Max.
Facebook Portal owners can start using Zoom starting this September, while Google Nest Hub Max and Amazon Echo Show 8 owners will get support later this year.
Zoom will be working slightly differently across these three devices. Google and Alexa will rely on calendar bookings to join a Zoom meeting whereas the Facebook Portal will have an app that will be installed on the device. Google will also allow users to directly communicate with their devices using voice to join meetings. A similar experience is being speculated on the Alexa devices which will eliminate the need of inputting a meeting ID or password. With all this, Zoom is definitely taking the competition to the next level for all similar apps in the market.
